School Health Alliance (SHA)
The School Health Alliance is offering this program to school health professionals who have day to day contact with children within the school environment.
This one-day program is designed to provide school health professionals with current, evidence based information on Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and related services available to families. Also discussed are:

School health personnel, counselors, social workers, psychologist, special education teachers/coordinators, personal care providers, parents and administrators.
Course Objectives
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
• Discuss ASD and its accompanying conditions, available therapies and treatments.
• Identify Interventions and available resources for families living with ASD.
• identify potential liability exposure from the mususes of social media and social networking.
• Analyze the need for professional liability insurance.
• Assess potential liability for malpractice and licenseure defense.
• Understand how medical records are used in litigation.
• Identify common documentation deficiencies.
